Lithium Hexafluorophosphate

LiPF6 is a salt widely utilized as an additive in electrolytes for lithium ion batteries because of the inertness of the PF6 anion toward strong reducing agents such as lithium metal. This is ready to dissolve in water and has high solubility in polar aprotic solvents.
