Dimethyldiethoxysilane, with the formula (CH₃)₂(C₂H₅O)₂Si, usually prepared by the reaction of dimethyldichlorosilane with ethanol, its main uses are:

1: Preparation of silofunctional silanes, carbon-functional silanes, siloxanes and others.
2: It is the main raw material for the production of tetramethyldivinyldisiloxane.
3: It replaces hydroxyl silicone oil as a superior structural control agent for high temperature silicone rubber.
4: Can be used as a white carbon black (silicon dioxide) treatment agent, can also be used as a defoamer, anti-structural materials of organic silicon coating production.
